Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Barber County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent to us may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. They remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive basic technical details whenever a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure visits, popular pages, and navigation patterns. Analytics providers combine that usage data for us. Cookies may be blocked through browser controls, although disabling them can change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Barber County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case records. It provides general directions to Kansas CaseSearch, Barber County District Court, and Tina McCray’s clerk office. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on some pages. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information entered there. We do not control those practices, so review the provider’s policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kansas CaseSearch, Barber County District Court resources, the clerk, legal-aid organizations, or commercial tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information was submitted, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. Kansas Supreme Court Rule 22 and the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq., including K.S.A. 45-218 through 45-221, govern access to eligible Kansas court and public records. They do not turn visitor analytics held by a private website into a Barber County District Court file. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
